Members meet from October to July on the second Tuesday of the month in The Assembly Room, The Council House, North Street, Chichester PO19 1LQ. Our 9 lectures commence at 10.45am prompt and last about an hour. Coffee is served between 9:30am and 10:20am, giving members a chance to socialise, book tickets for Visits or Study Days. Members may bring a guest and waiting list members may attend, both by prior arrangement with the Membership Secretary. All visitors are asked to make a £5 donation. Up to 3 visits per year are permitted subject to seat availability. Members obviously take priority.
Study Days are also held in The Assembly Room sometimes on a different day of the week. These are ticketed events attracting up to 50 or 60 members /guests or waiting list members. Free coffee/tea and biscuits are served beforehand.
There is a Christmas party and lecture in early December, for which tickets need to be purchased. It is usually in the afternoon or early evening, and is a very popular social occasion.
A hearing loop is available and there is a lift for a wheelchair access. Seats may be reserved until 10:30am for members with mobility problems. You must ask the Membership Secretary in advance.
